AMCP Nexus 2019 - shaking hands at the information desk

One of the best ways to network at AMCP Nexus is to volunteer! Choose from the following opportunities.

AMCP Booth Volunteers
Booth volunteers help staff the AMCP Concierge booth at AMCP Nexus. Attendees visit the booth to ask questions about the meeting, membership, and/or AMCP programs and activities. To assist booth volunteers, AMCP staff provides host materials including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) before the conference and onsite in the booth. Volunteer shifts are one hour each. Conference Buddy Program
This popular mentoring program is designed to increase visibility and awareness of managed care pharmacy. It matches student pharmacists or new practitioners with a managed care professional. This pairing meets informally during Nexus to discuss the managed care pharmacy industry, pathways to managed care pharmacy careers, and AMCP resources available to help student pharmacists and new practitioners. To participate, individuals must register as part of the AMCP Nexus registration process. To participate in the Buddy program, register by October 9, 2019. AMCP will start the matching process the week of October 14, those who sign up to participate should expect to hear back shortly thereafter.

AMCP Foundation Poster Mentor
Poster mentors prepare poster presenters to speak about their research by visiting assigned posters, asking questions of the presenters and providing feedback. Onsite, the poster mentors are expected to spend 5 – 15 minutes with a selection of poster presenters on Thursday, October 31, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm. Mentors will only be assigned to poster presentations in the student and resident/fellow non-reviewed categories. Sign Up Today!

Education Session Moderators
Each education session has a volunteer moderator assigned to it. Moderators make housekeeping announcements at the beginning and end of the session, introduce faculty, keep the session on track with scheduled start and end times, facilitate the Q&A period, and ensure that no product endorsements occur during the session. In addition, Moderators are provided with a script to follow. You must be a member and be registered for AMCP Nexus 2019. The call for moderators is now closed.
